Columbia County Ballet's The New Nutcracker is Saturday November 17th, at 5 and 8pm and Sunday November 18th at 3pm. They are also having an event called Tea and Tutus on Saturday November 17th from 12 to 1pm. Visit www.columbiacountyballet.com for more information.
Dance Augusta will be performing The Nutcracker on November 23rd at 7pm and on the 24th and 25th at 1 and 5pm. They are offering group discounts for more information go to www.augustaballetschool.org .
Deena Youngblood a former MOPS mom wanted to let everyone know that her childcare service will be providing Black Friday(day after Thanksgiving) child care. She will have two sessions (9am to 3pm) and (3pm to 9pm). During that time the kids will have fun with arts and crafts, games and more. Lunch will be provided at noon for the 1st session and supper at 6pm for the second session. The cost is $20 per session (that is less than $4.00 per hour). If you need more information please call Deena at 706-650-1183. Everyone must preregister. She is limited to 10 children per session.
Please be thinking about our next fundraiser "The Singing Christmas Card". We have yet to pick the date or dates,(sometime in December) but consider signing up to sing(with or without your family) and to purchase(a donation, whatever you feel led to share) a "Card" for someone in the area. If you know of anyone who would love carrollers on their front steps to remind them of the joy and wonder of Christmas please sign them up. We will also go to nursing homes if you know of one that would be particularly blessed with our group please pass on the information.
